Geometric Succulent Terrarium

Geometric Succulent Terrarium

After completing such large DIY projects this summer, it was time to scale down and knock out a smaller scale project - building a terrarium! I may be late hopping on this home decor trend, but I've had intentions to tackle it for quite some time, and I'm so glad I finally got to it this weekend.

A while ago I purchased this geometric terrarium and it sat empty in my living room, until now that is! With a quick trip to my local craft store and plant nursery, I was able to gather the rest of the supplies needed to assemble this beauty.

Items I used:

  • Container
  • Sand
  • Moss
  • Dirt
  • Pebbles + River Rocks
  • Decorative Object
  • Mini Succulent Plants

And here's the finished product! I packed my geometric brass planter full of succulents and moss for a lush look and added a giant chunk of peridot that I've had laying around for a few years. Isn't the natural, raw form of this stone just gorgeous? What a perfect compliment this piece was! After giving my new mini succulents a drink of water, I placed the terrarium on a side table in our living room near a window allowing for plenty of natural sunlight. This is the easiest DIY project I think I've ever done, yet what an impact it has to the look of our living room. I think I'll cozy up in the chair next to it and enjoy my green creation for the rest of the evening.
